Enjoy a Day on the Farm!
School Fieldtrips:
Want to spend a day learning that includes lots of fun? Looking for a hands-on experience for your classroom? Consider a Farm Experience Fieldtrip at Meuer Farm! We offer Farm Experiences for public schools, home school groups, daycare centers, summer programs and adult care facilities. What better place to learn about science, biology, forestry or soil and water conservation than on a real working farm? Offering fieldtrips is our way of giving back to our community: introducing children to the world of agriculture.
Farm Experience Options:
Making Maple Syrup - a visit to our syrup Shed and presentation on how we make maple syrup. Includes tastings.
Available in March
Strawberry Fields - a guided tour of our strawberry fields to learn how we grow our strawberries. You get to pick a 1 quart box of berries.
Available in late June to early July
Corn Maze/Fall Fun - Roam a phase of our corn maze and enjoy a hayride. Pick a mini-pumpkin or gourd to take home. Available August 10 to October 30.
May Include the Following:
- Videos on maple syrup, conservation or corn production, and how the corn maze is created. (1/2 hour)
- Personal presentation on beekeeping, strawberry cultivation or maple syrup making. (1/2 hour)
- An educational hayride through the woods. (45 minutes)
- Phase I of the corn maze. (30 minutes)
- Activity Area. (tube slide, duck races, straw fort, animal building, corn box)
(included items are based on time of year and selections made by you at the time of scheduling)
Prices for our Fieldtrip Packages:
$5.00/student Pre-K thru 8th. Grade
$8.00/student Grades 9 thru 12
Free Required chaperones/adults (1 per 6 students)
$7.00/adult Additional adults/parents
Additional Info:
- We can accommodate 10-500: 10 children minimum is required for fieldtrip pricing.
- Your trip may last from 2-4 hours.
- Our facilities are handicap accessible. Maze paths are wide enough for wheelchairs and Hay wagons are accessed from a deck in-line with the building floor.
- Corn cannons and slingshots may be enjoyed for an additional fee (call for details).
- Our Jumping Cow Cafe is open for lunch. Bring some spare change for sodas, burgers and snacks (full menu available by request). Groups of 50 or more need to provide food order ahead of time.
- Schools are welcome to bring their own lunches and store them in our walk-in cooler.
- Please dress appropriately! Activities are outside on uneven ground. Wear sturdy shoes and bring a jacket on cooler days.
- A deposit is required when you book your fieldtrip.
Fieldtrips during the 2016 Maze Season will begin on August 10th and run thru October 30th on weekdays (Monday - Friday). It is best to call or e-mail us as soon as you have a date picked out to reserve your date and time. We need to know your date, arrival time, contact person and phone number, how many students, your departure time and your plans for lunch. Videos and lunch are offered inside the main building. The farm animal exhibit straw fort are inside of a separate building. In the event of adverse weather, we offer movies, pumpkin carving and pumpkin decorating inside the main building.

Hayrides - Enjoy a relaxing tractor driven hayride along the trails on our property. You will see 100+ year old pastures, black walnut groves, maple trees, a stream that runs to Lake Winnebago and expansive fields. Your driver will tell you about rotational grazing, maple syrup, land conservation and more.
Presentations - Learn more about growing strawberries, making maple syrup, beekeeping or growing grains. Farmer Dave personally offers one of these presentations to give you details you might not hear about anywhere else. What is underground irrigation? What is the life-cycle of a bee? How much sap can you get from one maple tree? He will answer these questions and so much more. You will leave with a deeper understanding of how farmers and nature work together to create your food.
Country Store - Our Busy Bee Country Store offers a variety of on-farm and local made products. Raw honey, gluten-free rolled oats, hand-made artisan pastas, organic sunflower oils and finely crafted goat milk soaps are just a few of the items you'll find here.

Company Picnics / Teambuilding:
Want to offer your employees a day in the sun? Want a great bonding experience through team-building? Enjoy your next company picnic or team-building event at Meuer Farm! We have the facilities and activities to make your day memorable. Your group can enjoy their own outdoor space by the pond or inside our Main Activity Building. A hayride is always included just for fun. Our team-building activities may include a scavenger hunt in our corn maze and target practice with corn cannons for points during our Fall Season. The Jumping Cow Cafe is open for lunch. We will work with you to tailor an outing that fits for your group!
